It seems that the weather felt inclined to get warm. Or, should I say, hot. One day it was on the 50s. Now it's in the 80s!! I love it!
In GAs ( as some of you know) we have been collecting cans all year. Well, we are done now and are using the money to pack buckets for people in Africa who are in Hospice Care. The buckets will be packed with things like sheets, toothbrushes, socks, etc. At first, we were only going to pack 2 buckets. Well, Mrs. Allison went to talk to 3 Sunday school classes on Sunday to ask them to bring money or supplies to fill more buckets. Between all three classes, we raised $1000!! Each bucket is $80-$90. That's a lot of buckets! We're still raising more, too!
Last Saturday, I had babysitting class. I am now a trained, Red Cross certified babysitter. I can't wait for my first job! If you or anyone you know needs a babysitter, contact me!
On Tuesday I had my band concert. We did really well, despite only 3 full band practices. My elementary school music teacher even showed up!
Thanks for reading my blog. Remember, I love getting your feedback, constructive criticism, or sarcastic comments. Thanks again!

Forgot a quote
I realize that on the last one I forgot a quote. Instead, I am going to do a verse. Our verse for D'now.
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come The old has gone, the new has come! 2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come The old has gone, the new has come! 2 Corinthians 5:17
D'now
Last weekend I went to D'now at my friend's church. We had a lot of fun at worship, praising God and his glory. There was a band called the Isaac Pitman (?) band. They were really good. But, like the middle school minister said, we admire the painting, not the artist. The person, not The Maker. We need to give the glory straight to God.
We did a mission project. My group was at the Department of Children's Services (DCS). We were organizing clothes and shoes. Before we got in there, you could barley see the floor. After, you could have a dance party in there! Nothing was on the floor. It was amazing to see the progress.
The girls that were at the house I was were fun. Our bible study leaders were also amazing. I really learned a lot about what it's like to exchange our dirty, sin-stained lives for new, white ones. There was this one story we talked about, about this guy who had a red paper clip. He took a picture of it, put it on eBay (?) and said that he would trade it for anything. Well, someone traded it and he traded all the way up to a 2 story condo in Canada!! The last thing he traded was a part in a movie!! Would you do that? I wouldn't!
Anyway, it was a ton of fun. See you next time! Oh, I forgot 1 thing. last time, I only had 1 comment. I love reading your comments and feedback. I want t know if you liked it or if thought it was bad or OK. Thanks!!

Fun Weekend
This past weekend was lot of fun. I had a friend over on Friday ( snow day. see earlier post) She (Bunhead) came over at 12:30 and slept over. Her soccer game was canceled, so she got to stay longer. That night, I went with her family to the Belmont homecoming game. Bunhead's brother got to invite a friend too. We were in a box!! Free food (because of homecoming)!! We got to see the last half of the women's game. They lost 61-67. :( The men won! I don't know what the final score was. Anyway, it was a ton of fun.
I cannot even imagine where I would be today were it not for that handful of friends who have given me a heart full of joy. Let's face it, friends make life a lot more fun.

Snow Day
Today is a snow day!! The perfect way to start the weekend. Last night my dad, brothers, and I ate at Costco. 18 pieces for 10.00!!! It was very cheesy and delicious. This morning my mom made pancakes with crushed Reeses and Kit Kats. They were amazing. I think everybody ate 3!! A few weeks ago my GA class at church reached our $50 goal!! Pizza Party!! We are also collecting cans, and have raised over $70!! That's a lot of cans!! The most painful thing in Middle or High school, I think, is slamming your finger in your locker. I did that on Tuesday or Wednesday. In our lockers, there is a hole for a hook thing. If it's closed, the hook pokes out. If it's open, there's just a hole in the door. Well, my finger was in the hole and I didn't know. I shut the door and my finger was still in the hole. It hurt for the next 15-20 minutes! Advice rising 6th graders: be careful!! Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more!

New Blog
This is my, Reading Fan's, second blog. I wanted this one to be more general. I like writing about books, but it was getting boring. This is just to let you know what I have been doing and things I've tried. Do you know any one on a basketball team? a kid's one? Someone I know is on a team called the Mystics. When they first told me, I thought she said the Misfits! My dad now teases her calling her team the Mistakes. But only when they win. It wouldn't be funny other times. I want to try to end every post with a good, sometimes encouraging, sometimes funny, quote or bible verse. I hope you enjoy reading my blog!!
